Change is as good as…

They say that “change is as good as a holiday“…..! Now while I’d rather be sunning myself on a tropical island right about now, Im afraid I’m stuck at the beginning of a Sydney winter. Which is not as bad as it seems of course!

So, if I can’t be on holidays perhaps the next best thing is that the changes for WPC which have been underway for the last month are all coming to fruition right about now! Im excited to announce that the World Photographic Cup website has had a facelift! After ten years, the wrinkles have been pulled back and the filler injected and now you can see for yourself the new updated site which showcases the best of the 2023 WPC winning images plus adds a lot more functionality and security to the site which will hopefully give you – our lovely user a better experience.

Front page of WPC updated website

Go to www.worldphotographiccup.org to see for yourself some of the new improvements and updated features.

One of the most exciting new features is the opportunity to see the website in a number of different languages thanks to the automated translation service. Now while the official language of the World Photographic Cup is English – and these translations will never replace the expertise of a human translator, hopefully it will allow our non-English speaking users the ability to read all about WPC and become involved with our unique Olympic Style Photographic Competition.

Currently we have auto translations available for French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Dutch. If your native language is not listed but you would like to see if we can provide an auto translation, please contact us at info@worldphotographiccup.org and our newly appointed Webmaster Jørgen Brandt will look at the possibility of updating this service for you.

Jørgen and his team are also putting the finishing touches to the new online Forums that will be available for Team Captains to communicate with each other. This feature was asked for by Team Captains in Singapore – and we are delivering! The forums will be a new way that each country can ask questions of each other and share their experiences on how to achieve the best results when it comes to entering the World Photographic Cup.

Finally – there is now the opportunity for you to register your team via our new website – and we are taking registrations NOW!

Register a Team from your country!

Click on the banner at the top of the site or click on the home/enter a team tab and get your team REGISTERED! It is obligation free to register – even if you have entered World Photographic Cup in the past. We want to get your expressions of interest NOW for 2024 and make sure we have all your updated contact details. Including if you have your own WPC Team Website.

If you are not a Team Captain but want to get involved – give us your details and we can direct you to your local Team Captain or Administrator who can let you know how YOU can become a part of our wonderful World Photographic Cup Competition for 2024.

Let me know what you think….. If you have any comments or suggestions about our updated website and some of its new features, I’d love to hear from you. You can always email me at ceo@worldphotographiccup.org

Until next time.
