Two months ago we said: “After the amazing number of 32 nations entered last year, our aim for this edition is to reach a new best ever record of national teams.” Now we are happy to announce that our goal has been achieved: we have 41 national teams registered! Our best wishes go to:

From North America: Canada, Mexico and United States
From South/Central America: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru and Venezuela
From Asia: Bangladesh, China, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Vietnam
From Europe: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom
From Oceania: Australia and New Zealand

Next steps are:

The program of the whole event, which will start on Saturday March 21 and will end on Tuesday, March 24 (and will include also the FEP European Professional Photographer of the Year Awards Ceremony on March 22) will be available soon.

“To see the World Photographic Cup community reach 41 countries is very rewarding. I remember those first meetings when we were just exploring the concept of a worldwide event for photographers. WPC has now become a global movement! It is everything we had dreamed it could be. And it is exciting to think of what it will be in the future.”, said David Trust, PPA Chief Executive Officer and member of the WPC Governing Committee.

We are also happy to announce that ChromaLuxe will be once again our Gold Sponsor for another year!

“Again, we are delighted to, for the fourth consecutive year, partner with the World Photographic Cup. This global contest has proven to be an amazing gathering of creative minds from all over the world” says Erik Wiegman, managing director of Universal Woods, manufacturer of ChromaLuxe HD Metal prints. “For us, as Gold sponsor, it allows us to widen our network in the photographic world and to stay on top of what’s happening in this exciting industry”.
