After the registration phase, ended with an incredible new record of 43 teams, the validation phase of all submitted images to the WPC 2020 (Edition n.7) has also completed. The WPC committee chaired by Don MacGregor (Canada) examined over 700 images, noting in particular that the technical parameters were always respected, as well as the description of the 6 categories of the competition.
The judges will now begin the evaluation phase, starting from November 7th. The judgment criteria for the evaluation of the images are 4: impact, composition, technical excellence and vision. In assessing this last criterion, the WPC invited the judges to take full account of the descriptions of the various categories for the purposes of scoring.
From this moment on, all the authors that are part of the national teams and their images can be made public.
Best wishes to all the teams … and see you at Imaging USA 2020 for the announcement of the finalists and the “Best of Nations” (on January 20th in Nashville, TN) and in Italy, in Rome, on March 23rd for the proclamation of individual winners , of the best teams and to know which team will grab the cup! If you like to attend that event, and related initiatives (ceremonies, conferences, seminars, exhibitions and social activities), you can book online at www.wpcroma2020.com from mid-November.
