The World Photographic Cup governing committee and our proud sponsors ChromaLuxe, KoyLab, Comet, Hokushin and PhotoCreate are looking forward to celebrate the winners of the 4th World Photographic Cup, the one of a kind Olympics-styled global competition, and give appointment to Yokohama, Japan, on February 23, 2017!

The WPC 2017 award ceremony will announce individual winners in the 6 categories and the Cup winning Team!  The event will be realized in cooperation with the PPJ, Professional Photographers of Japan association. In the present edition, we tied the best ever number of participating countries, with 26 national photographic teams entered, from 4 continents (15 from Europe, 6 from Asia and Middle East, 3 from North America and 2 from Oceania). The first two edition of the WPC have been both won by Team USA. In the last edition Portugal won the Cup, with Russia and Slovakia in the second and third place. Individual gold medals for the six professional categories (commercial, illustrative, nature, photo journalism, portrait and wedding)  went to Finland, Slovakia, Spain, Mexico, Russia and Portugal. Also appears in the medals table: Austria, USA, Australia,Czech Republic and China! Which country will take over the top spot from team Portugal,  the defending champion? Team Portugal and other European teams on the podium will have to face the challenge coming for across the oceans (with Asian countries at the forefront). The most talented photographers proudly representing their country will compete for individual gold, silver and bronze medals while the national teams as a whole, based on the highest aggregate score in each category, will compete for receiving the WORLD PHOTOGRAPHIC CUP 2017. Registrations to the present edition of  the WPC just closed and all entries have been validated by the WPC Governing Committee. The judging is on the way, and it will close at the end of November. The 22 international judges are from: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Finland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan, Philippines, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom and United States of America. Before the medalists and winners will be announced in Yokohama, all the submitted photographs will be visible on the WPC website, since December 2016. The finalist images in each category will be announced and shown at Imaging USA in San Antonio, Texas, on January 9, 2017, and circulated after that.
