We are introducing a new form of recognition, the WORLD PHOTOGRAPHIC CUP Honours ribbons.
These ribbons recognise photographic excellence and dedication to the WPC ethos of uniting photographers around the world.
We celebrate our photographers and we express our deepest gratitude to our volunteers for their service.
Our Governing Committee members will be coming to each table throughout the evening to present a ribbon to every medallist, finalist, team captain and our volunteers who have made significant contributions over the years that are with us in this room tonight
Each colour ribbon signifies a category of recognition or achievement. For our photographers, this will represent their highest level of World Photographic Cup award.
Gold Medallist This gold ribbon recognises photographic excellence. It is presented to a photographer who has been awarded a gold medal and attended a WPC Awards Ceremony.
Silver Medallist This silver ribbon recognises photographic excellence. It is presented to a photographer who has been awarded a silver medal and attended a WPC Awards Ceremony.
Bronze Medallist This green ribbon recognises photographic excellence. It is presented to a photographer who has been awarded a bronze medal and attended a WPC Awards Ceremony.
Finalist This red ribbon recognises photographic excellence. It is presented to a photographer who has been a finalist (4th to 10th place) and attended a WPC Awards Ceremony.
Team Captain or Volunteer This blue ribbon recognises dedication to the WPC ethos of unifying photographers around the world. It is presented to individuals who have made a significant contribution to WPC in a volunteer capacity, such as a Team Captain, Ambassador or Working Group Member.
Governing Committee Member This white ribbon recognises dedication to the WPC ethos of unifying photographers around the world. It is presented to individuals who have served WPC as a Governing Committee Member.
Supporters of WPC This black ribbon is available to attendees of a WPC Awards Ceremony to show their support of the WPC ethos of unifying photographers around the world.
So – if you see someone with a ribbon, they have a story to tell. So, ask them! And celebrate them.
This will be an ongoing annual recognition, with ribbons presented in person each year at our annual awards ceremony
