Kjell was introduced to a programmable calculator around 1978 at the age of 15, then a mini-computer the year after. He wrote his first machine code program for a 1 MHz processor in 1980, picked up a book on compilers in 1982, learned about UNIX in 1983, started using email in 1984, saw the (entire!) WWW in the early 1990’s, got his PhD in Computer Science from University of California in 1994 and worked as an associate professor in Computer Science until 2003 when he and his wife started a photo studio for weddings and portraits. He has been on the board for the Swedish Championships in Photography since 2019. His Erdös number is 4.
