Marie de Verdier Persson, based in Sweden, is an experienced and versatile photographer with a background as a business economist. She holds a degree from the University of Gothenburg and worked as an accounting manager in the construction industry before following her passion for photography.
From a young age, Marie has had a burning interest in art and creativity. Her professional photography career began in 2007 as a photo lab technician, but it didn’t take long before she started photographing portraits of both people and animals in the studio. In 2014, she opened her own studio in Alingsås, Sweden, where she specializes in portrait photography but also performs product photography and various other assignments.
Marie has achieved several significant milestones in her career. In 2017, she obtained the FEP certification as a Qualified European Photographer (QEP), and the following year, she received the Swedish Master Craftsman Certificate in Photography. Her dedication and expertise have also led to several leading positions within photography organizations. She is a board member and treasurer of the Swedish Portrait Photographers Association and a member of the organizing committee for the Swedish Photography Championships, where she is responsible for finance and also competition management alongside Kjell Post and Jørgen Brandt.
Since 2019, Marie has represented Sweden on the board of the Federation of European Photographers (FEP), and since 2022, she has held the role of Vice President of FEP.
With a passion for capturing moments and creating art through her lens, Marie de Verdier Persson continues to be a prominent and respected voice in the photography community.
