TEAM USA!
After a second-place position last year in their home edition, in 2025 Team USA takes home the WORLD PHOTOGRAPHIC CUP!
In a competition where every point counts and medals are decided by tenths of a point. Team USA was awarded the World Photographic Cup in Quito Ecuador.
The WPC competition is truly a global competition. Unlike any other competition for professional photographers and showcasing professional photography on the world stage. This year 28 national photographic teams entered the 2025 edition from Europe, Asia, North and South America and Oceania.
All individual winners, the “Best of Nation” and the top 10 teams of the 2025 World Photographic Cup (WPC), have been announced and presented with their awards. The Ceremony has been broadcast live from The Hotel Colón Hilton in Quito Ecuador as part of the Zero Latitude Expo & Convention. The second-place crystal trophy went to Team Portugal, with defending champion – Team Spain in third place.
The remaining top 10 Teams were filled by:
4th place: Australia
5th place: Sweden
6th place: Canada
7th place: United Kingdom
8th place: Finland
9th place: Norway
10th place: Mexico
The TOP 10 TEAMS circle!
The top 3 scores in each category receive medals. Every image entered for a team receives one point towards to teams total, and the Top 10 scores in each category count higher points towards their country’s team total. (10 points for the Gold, 9 for the Silver, 8 points for bronze and so on). So every photographer whose image ends up in the Top 10 contributes valuable points to their team’s total.
Gold medal winning images
Individual gold medals for the 10 categories of the competition went to photographers from Finland, Portugal x2, Czech Republic, Philippines, USA x2, Canada and Spain x2. All winning images will be on display in the FUPA Art Gallery in Quito for the next four weeks.
